Key features and pricing of the latest iPhone models

Choosing an iPhone used to be a simple process. But with the increasing number of models launched every year, the decision-making process becomes complex. This is also seen in the latest iPhone lineup, which includes five variants. The 16e is a budget-friendly option, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max offers some of the best features that justify its price value. By learning the lineup’s performance and pricing, it can become easier to pick the right phone for one’s requirements.

iPhone 16e

Apple has chosen a cost-efficient approach with the iPhone 16e by repurposing hardware and certain features from its older models instead of designing a new one from scratch. The model uses an A18 processor, the same as the iPhone 16, while its design and display resemble the iPhone 14 model, both of which feature a 16.1 inch Super Retina XDR display. The $599 entry-level device comes with a matte body finish and a single 48MP wide-lens camera at the rear, while the front features include a 12MP selfie camera that captures quality photos. For those accustomed to older Apple models like the 11 or SE, the 16e offers a significant upgrade.

iPhone 17

Apple has tried bridging the gap between the standard iPhone and its premium models with the 17 lineup. Priced at around $799, the iPhone 17 offers an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate with standard ProMotion technology, making it one of the notable upgrades. It shares camera features with the premium models, including AI-powered Center Stage and Dual Capture for selfies and simultaneous real/front video recording. Additionally, the device supports an always-on display, making it easier to keep track of tasks and notifications. It runs on iOS 26, allowing users to access features such as live translation and call screening.

The 6.3-inch phone is powered by an A19 chipset and features two 48MP rear cameras. It’s available in five colors (Mist Blue, Sage, White, Lavender, and Black) and offers two primary storage variants of 256GB and 512GB, along with significantly improved battery life.

iPhone Air

Apple has introduced an ultra-thin and lightweight iPhone, the iPhone Air, with its titanium design. This model is ideal for those who don’t mind compromising on a few features for a slim device. It features a scratch-resistant body made from the Ceramic Shield 2, which also provides enhanced anti-reflective properties. Additionally, the model comes with a 48MP Fusion rear camera and is powered by an A19 Pro silicon chipset. The camera delivers promising performance with its color saturation and night-light photography features. The phone is available in four different colors, including Space Black, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Sky Blue, with a starting price of $999 (256GB). The 512GB version starts at $1,199, while the 1TB variant is available at $1,399.

iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max

The former model features a 6.3-inch display, while the latter boasts a 6.9-inch screen. Both phones are powered by an A19 Pro processor for better and faster performance. They come in various storage options: 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB, along with 12GB RAM.

On the rear, each phone is equipped with three 48MP cameras, including a main camera, an ultra-wide, and a telephoto camera. The improved camera quality delivers superior video recordings with features like cinema-grade specifications and enhanced video stabilization. Additionally, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max include an 18MP front camera, which captures sharp pictures. Regarding pricing, the iPhone 17 Pro starts at around $1,099, while the Pro Max starts at $1,199.

Remember that these new iPhone models are available at discounted prices through different carriers and e-Commerce platforms. Additionally, trade-ins can further reduce the cost of the new handsets.

Phone trade-in is a process where a buyer gives their used device in exchange for a specific value. The value they get depends on the model of the phone and its current condition. These programs are usually available through wireless carriers, phone manufacturers, and various popular retail stores.  Why buyers trade in phones Many choose to trade in their phones to pay less for the initial cost of a new device. This also helps them keep monthly expenses in control.
